Chapter 004: Public Enemy of Humanity

At the meeting discussing the path issues concerning all of humanity, a scientist made a statement that caused considerable unease among the people of Earth at that time

For example, in today's society, there are countless instances of under-the-table dealings in government bidding for construction projects. Various forms of "reciprocity" often prevent genuinely capable companies from winning bids, while companies that specialize in substandard projects end up securing those contracts. However, if the government were to become robotic, such outcomes would be entirely impossible. A robotic government would not accept bribes, and all forms of under-the-table dealings would be completely eradicated, with everything being determined solely by true capability. This would truly be a positive development for social equity

That scientist stated that humanity is undoubtedly a highly intelligent species; however, the fair mechanisms that should have spread within human society have not been fully realized. Moreover, it has never been possible to achieve fairness in any era

Human beings tend to be selfish, and this is an unchangeable fact. In terms of public authority, it often occurs that the state is not at fault; rather, it is the individuals executing public authority who make mistakes. In some severely affected countries or regions, there can even be instances of state corruption, leading to a situation where the entire area is engulfed in chaos and disorder

Therefore, this scientist began to conceive what kind of inventions and creations would enable all humanity to achieve fairness and uphold justice for everyone

With his chin resting on his hand, the energy-saving lamp above his head shines steadily and continuously. Outside the window, it remains pitch black; however, this does not hinder the man's thoughts in the slightest

The scientist has always claimed to be a scientist. The purpose of a scientist is to enhance the happiness of human life. However, no matter how much research is conducted in previous fields, it seems impossible to achieve a state of fairness and happiness for humanity.

Thirty years from now, at the Copenhagen Conference in 2042, an event occurred that is worthy of being recorded in the annals of human history

The scientist expressed disappointment and dissatisfaction with humanity after reflecting on his childhood experiences, reviewing past history, and observing human behavior

The young girl said that this would be a temporary conclusion. Ling also nodded upon hearing this. He stood up, took the thermos, and poured another cup of hot water for the young girl, placing it in front of her

In other words, is this a statement from a scientist who hopes to use robots to dominate humanity? And then what?

The girl's voice was soft, and it was clear that she was merely recounting the facts. However, upon hearing this, Ling couldn't help but feel a bit surprised. He pushed up the glasses on his nose, lowered his head in contemplation, and murmured to himself: "To turn everyone... into slaves?"

This proposal was immediately met with opposition from many other countries around the world. However, the scientist did not demand that other countries accept this proposal right away. After all, he was merely a Chinese individual, and had only reformed the governmental power structure in China. At this moment, people from other countries realized that the Chinese government officials present at this meeting were, in fact, also robots. It was only after this meeting that the grassroots population in China learned that the government that had managed them for thirty years had already been gradually replaced by robots and * books.

"Petitioners being rejected will become history, and expensive housing will be immediately suppressed. A government devoid of private interests and personal feelings is precisely the most just government. Only in this way can a truly perfect human society be achieved"

Initially, this scientist believed that more and better technological products should be invented to provide better services for humanity. However, he soon realized that this was an endless pit. Regardless of how liberated the resources may be, humans, as the masters, will consciously or unconsciously divide into hierarchies and engage in exploitation among themselves

Later, by a very chance opportunity, this scientist thought of a method

Human beings enjoy creating convenience for themselves. Particularly within national institutions formed to serve humanity, civil servants, as representatives of public authority, are especially inclined to harm the interests of others for their own benefit

Under the rule of robots, a primary school student toppling a school principal and dismantling an illegal利益 chain within a school is by no means a far-fetched notion; everyone has a place to reason.

From ancient times to the present, corruption, bribery, and the exchange of power and money can never be eradicated. Those in power can ensure that their children attend the best schools, purchase homes at the lowest prices, and receive the best medical care. However, those without power must endure social inequities, high housing prices, exorbitant education costs, and high medical expenses. For those originally without power, obtaining public authority is as difficult as ascending to the heavens.

Since it is impossible for humans to achieve complete equality as masters, would it not be equal if all humans were treated as slaves of some kind?

For instance, if a school imposes various fees on students in a semi-coercive manner, even if parents are unwilling, they will still part with their assets under the guise of 'voluntariness.' In this regard, teachers turn a blind eye. As usual, even if you file a complaint, it is likely to be of no use. Such trivial matters are completely disregarded by the current government, which will direct you to the school. However, the school will also be unresponsive. The final outcome is to swallow one's grievances silently.

Although it is referred to as domination and slavery, the true meaning and the literal interpretation differ significantly. Humanity can continue to live as before, without any restrictions. Only the various units of the state power apparatus have become robots

The young girl took a sip of tea and continued speaking

When robots take control of the country, you can file complaints and reports at any time. As they are machines, there will be no backlog of issues that cannot be addressed in a timely manner. Regardless of the matter, no matter how trivial, it will be handled appropriately. The robots will urge the school administration to address the incident within a specified timeframe. Once the matter is resolved, the robotic government will also provide feedback to the students, inquiring whether they accept the resolution. If they do not agree, a further request for action will be made.

After careful consideration and examination, this scientist proposed a bold theory. That is, to place all of humanity under the rule of robots. Because machines do not possess emotional factors, machines cannot be bribed, nor will they engage in corruption. As long as the public security and judicial institutions of the state are completely entrusted to robots, allowing humanity to be governed by robots, the most perfect fair society will be achieved
