Chapter 5, A Moment of Carelessness
Oh. Zhong Li Jin wanted to ask him about her, about their past, but she was not foolish; she could clearly sense Shang Han's wariness, rejection, and a hint of inability to refuse her. However, his attitude made her hesitant to inquire. He even doubted whether his amnesia was real. Perhaps she would wait a few days before asking. In any case, being by his side made her feel very comfortable, very safe, and very fond of him
He is cooking noodles, his slender fingers gently stirring with chopsticks in the pot. In a short while, the noodles are ready, and he pours them into a large bowl. Then, he places the pot in the sink and turns on the faucet
If one day you find that you have forgotten something, just go back and look for Z
In a swift motion, Zhong Li Jin's hand moved. Shang Han's expression remained unchanged as his gaze followed her hand. That pair of fair and slender hands settled on either side of her hips, gently grasping the fabric. Then, unexpectedly and with great speed, she lifted the entire hem of her garment, raising it, and in one fluid motion, the entire piece of clothing was removed from her body.
She walked down the stairs, did not see anyone in the living room, and upon hearing some noise from the kitchen, she went over there
Zhong Li Jin was taken aback, "Isn't it cold medicine?"
Zhong Li Jin suddenly felt a sense of joy, her lips involuntarily curling upwards, but soon she found it inexplicable and hurriedly went outside
Shang Hanzhi stared at her, one hand pinching the paper while the other moved the mouse, switching the display to the camera hidden in the dressing mirror, thus bringing Zhong Li Jin face to face with him. He wanted to know what she intended to do
Knowing that Zhongli Jin was watching him at the door, he did not even glance in her direction, "Do I need someone else to serve me when I can carry things out myself?"
With a mind full of confusion and emptiness, Zhong Li Jin cleaned herself up and put on the clothes given by Shang Han Zhi—a thin wool sweater and coat for men. The garments reached directly to her thighs, and of course, there were no undergarments, which was probably why an extra coat was provided.
Shang Hanzhi had changed into a new outfit, having removed the glaringly white robe. He wore a high-necked black thin sweater on top, which was simple and clean without any decorations or patterns. His complexion was very pale, a pallor resulting from limited exposure to sunlight. However, like his cold and icy voice, his features were as translucent and beautiful as ice, exuding a chill akin to the mountain stream water in February. The rimless glasses on his nose bridge softened the overly sharp and indifferent gaze, making him appear somewhat refined and approachable. Just a side profile was enough to captivate one's attention.
The entire person suddenly appeared in front of the camera without any concealment, facing him directly
Long legs, a flat and slender waist
The bathroom was filled with mist, and Zhong Li Jin lay relaxed in the bathtub, staring at the ceiling. The only memories in her mind were of everything that had happened today, yet it was precisely everything that had occurred today that left her feeling tangled and confused, as if her mind were on the verge of knotting up.
He stood there expressionlessly and watched her for a while. Seeing that she had almost finished eating, he turned and went back to the kitchen to take a bottle of water from the refrigerator. With a few pills in his hand, he handed them to her and said, "Take these."
Unlike Zhongli Jin's handwriting, this script is hasty yet vigorous, clearly indicating it is the work of a man
The light in Shang Han's eyes flickered slightly, "Aren't you going to ask what this is before eating it?"
The lights in the hall were turned off, and Shang Hanzhi walked into the study, opened the computer, and activated all the surveillance cameras in the apartment. The computer screen was divided into several sections, showing the hall, kitchen, gym, bedroom, and study.
She is still like before, fond of climbing to high places, enjoying the feeling of looking down on everything, unafraid even if it is dangerous. Shang Hanzhi's eyes were icy cold as she reached out to pull over the bag of Zhongli Jin sent by her subordinate on the table; there were very few items inside, with that notebook being the focus.
Zhong Li Jin, who was lost in thought while observing others, finally came to her senses and hurried inside to serve the noodles. They were very hot, so she rolled down her excessively long sleeves and, using her palms, carried the bowl outside. The fragrant aroma invigorated her considerably, causing her mouth to water and her stomach to rumble.
"What about you?" Zhong Li Jin had just come down and did not see any guest rooms. Generally, in the apartment of a single man, it is unlikely that there would be a second bed.
After taking a shower, Zhong Li Jin, feeling somewhat refreshed, walked out of the bathroom with his wet hair cascading down. What greeted his eyes was a bedroom, furnished very simply, with a large bed, a bedside table, and a wardrobe. Including the carpet, everything was in dark tones, clearly indicating that it was a room belonging to a single man
Zhong Li Jin glanced at Shang Han Zhi, put down his chopsticks, reached out to take the medicine from Shang Han Zhi's hand, threw it into his mouth, took a sip of water, raised his chin, and swallowed it.
Shang Hanzhi, with an expressionless face and a cold demeanor, lowered her head and focused intently on her notebook, seemingly oblivious to the scenery displayed on the screen before her. The hand that was twisting the paper note had unknowingly crumpled it into a ball... Among her inky black hair, the tips of her ears were slightly flushed...
"Just take care of yourself." Shang Hanzhi said淡淡, in a tone devoid of emotional fluctuations, as if he had not given up his bed for her
The cold of commerce ... ... The cold of commerce ... ...
I had no choice but to open the window, and a cool breeze instantly swept in, accompanied by the fragrance of the trees
As he turned the pages, he found only fragments of words within, occasionally catching sight of a few references to him, yet unable to discern any specific events. He carefully flipped through, gazing at those familiar writings, until he reached the page that held the note.
Shang Hanzhi stared at her, his lips slightly pursed, "After you finish eating, go upstairs to sleep, and do not touch anything recklessly"
Shang Hanzhi resides on the top floor of Building A of the COT staff dormitory, which is six stories high. In the mountains, there are none of the bizarre and dazzling lights that bewilder the eyes in the city. Looking up, the brilliant stars seem to be right above.
Zhong Li Jin pushed the drawer shut, ran her fingers through her damp hair, feeling somewhat troubled. She had just forgotten to ask Shang Han Zhi if he had a hairdryer, and now she didn't dare to seek him out just to dry her hair. So she lay down with her hair still wet, worried about wetting his pillow and blanket. To make matters worse, she couldn't even find a magazine to use as a fan. This room was so clean it was almost like a hotel room.
The study is enveloped in silence
After Shang Hanzhi finished washing the pot, Zhong Li Jin had already eaten nearly half a bowl. Her lips were red and moist from the heat, and she leaned forward intensely, almost resting her entire body on the table as she ate, just like in my memories.
This is a duplex apartment, decorated in a style that is simple to the point of being monotonous, much like its owner, exuding a coldness devoid of warmth.
Zhong Li Jin propped herself up with one hand and sat on the windowsill. The wind in the mountains was cool, but she was not cold as she wore two layers. Glancing sideways, she saw the height that could be fatal, yet she felt no fear or danger, only focused on fiddling with her damp hair to dry it quickly in the wind
He sat in the black swivel chair, lightly clicking the mouse to enlarge the surveillance footage of the bedroom. He saw Zhong Li Jin rummaging through his bedroom, as if searching for something, and his expression grew increasingly cold. Is this where the fox's tail is revealed
The cool breeze made her head feel a bit chilly. Zhong Li Jin thought of something, jumped down from the windowsill, and while taking off her coat, walked over to Shang Hanzhi's wardrobe. The cabinet door was embedded with a dressing mirror. She looked at the woman in the mirror, dressed in a loose black male wool sweater. Her chest was round and full, the fabric obediently clinging to her alluring curves, revealing the collarbone and rounded shoulders within the large neckline. Below the hem were a pair of straight, long, fair legs, and her disheveled, jet-black, half-wet hair cascaded down, truly a stunning beauty that was beyond compare.
