Chapter 6: Dangerous Encounters with Malevolent Beings
At that moment, the little loach encountered danger and rushed forward without hesitation, thinking of nothing; yet that creature was the undisputed ruler of this small river
The yellow eel is as thick as an adult man's thigh, measuring up to half a zhang in length, with a mouth full of sharp teeth and blood-red eyes
Sun Changming fell asleep in a daze
Young man
In the village, at least seven or eight adult pearl divers have died at the hands of this creature. It is akin to the tyrannical fierce fish, both of which have touched the threshold of demonic beasts.
Sun Changming saw the green blood surging from the little loach, and his heart ached. He grabbed the tail of the yellow eel around his neck with one hand and forcefully tore off the back half of the eel's body. Then, he quickly swam over and fiercely stabbed the head of the yellow eel with a knife.
Now, free from the burden of the life tax, coupled with this warm and cozy feeling, Sun Changming sleeps very soundly
However, it was unexpected that the bone dagger's blade was unparalleled, capable of cutting through even ordinary magical tools. Its body, though formidable, could not withstand it either
Sun Changming saw from a distance that after he entered, he might have been provoked by the cold poison, as a phantom firelight surged from his body, flashing briefly and easily leading one to think it was merely an illusion.
However, the vitality of this fierce creature is exceptionally tenacious. Even when it was severed into two pieces, its tail still tightly wrapped around Sun Changming's neck, and its head suddenly lunged forward, biting down on the little loach.
The little loach did not agree, wriggling continuously, "I am not full yet, you just said you would find me more food!"
The little loach ignored him, eating bite by bite. Sun Changming quickly gaped in astonishment. Although he knew that this creature could always consume things much larger than its own size, but this two-headed eel... was it a bit too exaggerated?
"Am I really that impressive?" Sun Changming found it hard to believe: "How about... going to the big river to challenge the dominant ferocious fish?" This was merely a thought; having eaten too many little loaches, his mind was overwhelmed, and he did not truly mean it.
Upon returning to the village, before he had reached home, Sun Changming saw a middle-aged man standing outside the village entrance, looking travel-worn. Dressed in a warrior's attire, with his hands wrapped in protective gear, he had broad shoulders and appeared strong and powerful
Suddenly, he was startled awake by a wave of palpitations, thinking there was some danger. He leaped up, drew his bone dagger with a swift motion, and instinctively crouched down behind a bookcase, adopting a highly reasonable defensive posture
The double-headed eel bit down hard, its tail tightly coiling around Sun Changming's neck
Hmph
Blood gushed forth as a deep wound was inflicted on the body of the double-headed eel
Do you have such a big belly? What do you need to catch such large things for? Wouldn't it be easier to find a few fierce fish and swallow them?
Sun Changming was somewhat surprised, thinking that the large cavity below his lower abdomen was already filled with warm currents, but it turned out that it could still be compressed
Sun Changming's soul was attached to the past, almost causing him to curse out loud
However, upon reflection, killing this beast... is not difficult
The little loach seems to be ... . ... and has propped itself up, starting to roll on the ground
Sun Changming emerged from the water, moving through the river with a speed that was not at all inferior to that of the fierce fish. He carved a straight line through the water and crashed into the midst of the battle between both sides, his bone dagger slicing into the body of a yellow eel.
The little loach had two rows of fine bite marks on its body, and Sun Changming, feeling heartbroken, almost shed tears. Fortunately, this fellow had recently gained weight; otherwise, it would have been bitten in half.
This creature is the ruler of this small river, only slightly weaker than that dominant fierce fish and the books.
However, the giant two-headed eel uses its immense strength to drag the small loach, and the two ferocious creatures thrash about in the turbulent waters. The eel continuously bites at the small loach, which appears to be struggling to hold on, having narrowly escaped being bitten several times.
The little loach swam back and forth in the water a few times, appearing very agitated, as if reproaching its elder brother for being irresponsible. In the end, it sank down and went off to search for food on its own
"Uncle." Sun Changming once again adopted the foolish demeanor of a country bumpkin in front of the group of young cultivators.
The warm currents rising from Sun Changming's lower abdomen surprisingly did not bring about a suffocating feeling of breathlessness; instead, he felt an overwhelming surge of strength, becoming even more fierce. He seized the two-headed eel and brought the bone dagger down again towards the wound.
Every night, he is filled with anxiety during the first half of the night and can only sleep in the latter half. During the day, he is busy, which is indeed very exhausting
He hesitated for a moment outside the village, but ultimately stepped in decisively
Hmph
On the way home, Sun Changming suddenly thought of something: Did I kill that two-headed eel?
The double-headed eel has already noticed the presence of an intruder, its tail curling around, heading towards the neck of Sun Changming at www.hetushucom.com
The double-headed eel has been severed into two pieces
Sun Changming threw it back into the river: "You go by yourself, catch whatever you want to eat yourself"
Sun Changming has already made some gains, but looking at the sky, there are still a few hours before the sun sets. He has decided to take a break and prepare to head home
In the river several hundred zhang away, water splashes continuously, accompanied by enormous whirlpools
Sun Changming put it back into the gourd, holding it in his hand, feeling its weight: "I need to get a bigger gourd."
Sun Changming lay by the river, fashioning a straw hat to cover his face. The village was permeated with a sense of chill, yet the stone tablet he had just picked up radiated a warm feeling against his chest—different from the warm current brought by the little loach, more akin to the wild outdoors in the cold rain, with a roaring bonfire blazing beside him
The role of the little loach in this context is minimal, and it even seems to hold back progress
The foul-smelling fresh blood stained the surrounding river water, as Sun Changming picked up the little loach and quickly dragged the corpse of the two-headed yellow eel back to the shore
Sun Changming cursed as he leaped into the river with a bone dagger in hand, swiftly swimming towards the little loach.
The little loach, sluggish and with a book, was not as lively as before, yet it still made a fierce effort and swallowed a head of the yellow eel in one bite
Have you recently eaten too much, causing your mind to be overwhelmed? How dare you provoke such a fierce creature
The little loach likely employed a "clever" ambush tactic, biting onto one of the necks of the two-headed eel, and then swimming vigorously to evade the bites from the other head
A middle-aged man waved and called to him, and Sun Changming stopped. The other party was at least a hundred paces away, but he arrived in front of him in just two steps
Sun Changming angrily exclaimed: "Eat, eat, eat, all you know is to eat, have you even forgotten your life? If I had arrived a little later, you would have been eaten by someone else"
Moreover, the little loach ate faster and faster, and the wounds on its body gradually healed as it fed. By the time the little loach had completely consumed the two-headed eel, its wounds had fully recovered
The surroundings were silent, and Sun Changming immediately understood: it was the little loach
A familiar warm current surged from the little loach, unprecedentedly rich and powerful, circulating through Sun Changming's body as usual, and then settling in the lower abdomen, where that special character became even clearer and more solid.
In the depths of the river, a small loach clung tightly to a two-headed eel
