Chapter 5, Confusion
"Tell me about it." Xia Xiaowei's eyes were fixed on Shen Mo
Two full days of deep contemplation yielded no results. What exactly does the professor want to convey? Shen Mo mobilized all his knowledge to speculate on the connections among that long list of names, but made no progress. These names were jumbled together, completely unrelated. The scattered historical materials pierced and cut through Shen Mo's thoughts like shattered glass. He felt as if every nerve ending was bleeding and in pain. ... The scattered historical materials pierced and cut through Shen Mo's thoughts like shattered glass. He felt as if every nerve ending was bleeding and in pain. ... As soon as he closed his eyes, he could see a multitude of question marks bouncing and frolicking in front of him, making faces as if to provocatively say: Come on, come on ...
Xiaowei!" Shenmo suddenly said, "I thought of someone, perhaps she can help us
What is good about a weight?
The authority is akin to a weight. As for what this bronze beast-shaped lotus authority looks like, I fear no one knows. I will continue with the next point!
We are going to Liaocheng, I certainly have no problem, I am studying at Jiangbei University. What about you? What will happen to your job?
What happened? Is there a problem
Silence smiled slightly and then said: "Nangzhan, the wife of Gongliyan, is a woman of mythical genius. She was captured along with Gongliyan by the Menglian chieftain Diao Paichun. Diao Paichun coveted Nangzhan's beauty. Nangzhan feigned compliance, agreeing to Diao Paichun's demands, but on the night of the wedding, she killed Diao Paichun to avenge her husband. She then led the remnants of the Gui family to escape to the Menggan tribe, successfully persuading the Menggan chieftain to borrow troops to invade Yunnan, intending to kill Wu Dashan to avenge her husband. This incident became the fuse for the Sino-Burmese War during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty."
The Vice Dean of the School of History at Jiangbei University, Zeng Ping. She is both a luminary in the field of historiography and a classmate of the professors
I saw her a few days ago at a meeting in Dalian, and she even asked me about the professor. If you have any questions, just go ahead and ask!
Shen Moren Zhen thought for a moment: "I think I should take a few months off. It seems that clarifying this matter is not so simple. However, I need to find a suitable reason for taking leave."
Alright, spare me! Do you take me for a fool? Puyi is none other than the Xuantong Emperor! ... ... How strange, what does this long list of names written by Dad mean? What exactly is he trying to tell us?
"You really are quite verbose. Why don't you also talk about the situations of the other few people? Otherwise, I will always be left in the dark." Xia Xiaowei refilled Shen Mo's cup with water
Completely correct. I need to add that Tagore's grandfather, Maharaja Devaraknath, was known for his luxurious lifestyle and philanthropy. Tagore's father, Debendranath, was well-versed in the Vedas and Upanishads, leading a simple and pure life, and was referred to as the Great Philosopher. The Great Philosopher had fourteen children, and Rabindranath Tagore was his youngest son. In 1901, he founded a school in Santiniketan, which later developed into an international university... Which is greater, Brahma or the Tathagata Buddha?
Shen Mo looked at Xia Xiaowei in silence
Shen Mo looked at Xia Xiaowei in astonishment: "How did you know?"
"It's chaotic; we are discussing history, not literature." Xia Xiaowei stuck out her tongue, pursed her lips, glanced at Shen Mo, and said softly, "Next, Wu Shangxian."
No, that is incorrect. In Brahmanism, Brahma holds the highest position, which is true. However, at that time, Buddhism had not yet emerged, and the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, had not yet descended into the world. Later, with the rise of Buddhism, Brahma was placed below Siddhartha Gautama. Subsequently, with the emergence of Hinduism, Brahma's status was restored to the highest. Furthermore, the Buddha, Siddhartha Gautama, is regarded as an incarnation of Vishnu, ranked after Brahma. There is also a very peculiar aspect of Hinduism: although Brahma is revered as the supreme deity, in certain specific contexts, he is made to serve as a subordinate to Shiva or Vishnu. Thus, in Hinduism, Brahma is the supreme deity in most cases, but occasionally he may take a subordinate role.
I have long wanted to say this, but these matters are tedious and uninteresting. I fear you may not be able to take it in. Silence drinks tea
Xia Xiaowei thought for a moment: "Do you know the relationship between Zeng Ping and my father?"
In order to uncover the mystery, one must listen even if it is tedious. Just keep it as brief as possible. Let's go one by one, now we have reached Jaya Hima.
September 15 in the morning, the silent living room
"Drink water, drink water." Xia Xiaowei poured the water, "The next one is... Tagore, I know Tagore. His full name is Rabindranath Tagore, a renowned poet, novelist, artist, and social activist from India. He was born on May 7, 1861, in Kolkata, West Bengal, which was then the political and economic center of the British Indian Empire. In 1878, Rabindranath went to England to study law, but finding it uninteresting, he switched to studying English literature at the University of London and also explored Western music. In 1880, he returned home midway through his studies at his father's command. In 1913, he was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for "Gitanjali." He passed away on August 7, 1941, in Kolkata. - Brother Koala, am I right?"
Fu Heng is also a prominent figure in history. He was a Manchu of the Yellow Banner, the brother-in-law of Emperor Qianlong of the Qing Dynasty, and the biological brother of Empress Xiaoxian, of the Fucha clan. As a national relative and a trusted minister of Emperor Qianlong, he once wielded significant power. Oh, by the way, this individual also has connections to the Sino-Burmese War. After the outbreak of the Sino-Burmese War, the two successive governors of Yunnan and Guizhou, Liu Zao and Yang Yingjun, were both punished for their improper handling of the situation, and General Ming Rui was killed in battle. Emperor Qianlong ordered Fu Heng to oversee military affairs in Yunnan regarding the campaign against Burma. After several years of warfare, he hastily withdrew his troops under the condition that Burma agreed to pay tribute. Shortly after returning to Beijing, he fell ill and passed away.
You are referring to the founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama, right? The Buddhist scriptures explain the Tathāgata as one who has come by the true path of suchness, also known as coming as it is. Tathāgata is a general term; it is an alternative name for the Buddha and does not specifically refer to any one Buddha. Understanding the Tathāgata as a specific title for the founder of Buddhism, Siddhartha Gautama, is actually a misconception. Siddhartha Gautama, originally named Siddhartha Gautama, belonged to the Shakya clan and was the son of King Śuddhodana. To clarify this issue involves the three religions of Brahmanism, Buddhism, and Hinduism.
What is wrong with the officials of the Qing Dynasty? They are demanding weights and saddles! If their demands are not met, they resort to murder. It is indeed strange if such a court does not perish
What a passionate and righteous woman! Xia Xiaowei exclaimed, "A woman igniting a war? This is quite interesting. Go on, Fu Heng.
Who is Brother Silent, and what is Porohama?
Tagore wrote a play titled "Sacrifice," in which one of the characters, the temple caretaker, is named Jayashima
Are they classmates
Shen Mo took a sip of tea and then said: "Gong Li Yan is also a historical figure with a legendary background, the chief of the Gui family tribe in Myanmar. According to the 'Draft History of the Qing Dynasty': 'The Gui family is an official family that followed Yongming into Myanmar, and their descendants refer to themselves as the Gui family, based in Bolongchang for silver mining.' This means that the Gui family actually descends from the attendants of Zhu Youlang, the Yongli Emperor of the Southern Ming, who fled to Myanmar at the end of the Ming dynasty. Yongming is one of Zhu Youlang's titles. The 'Gui' character used in the 'Draft History of the Qing Dynasty' refers to 'nobility,' but some scholars have examined that this 'Gui' character should actually be 'Gui' as in osmanthus. The 'Gui' character used in the 'Draft History of the Qing Dynasty' refers to 'nobility,' but some scholars have examined that this 'Gui' character should actually be 'Gui' as in osmanthus. This is because Zhu Youlang is the second son of King Gui, Zhu Changying, and before he became emperor, he inherited the title of King Gui. Therefore, these people refer to themselves as the Gui family. In 1753, during the internal turmoil in Myanmar, the chief of the Mushi tribe, Weng Jiya, took the opportunity to seize power and declared himself the new king of Myanmar. Gong Li Yan, refusing to accept this, led his troops to attack the Mushi tribe. This war lasted for many years, and the outcome was only determined after Weng Jiya's death. In 1762, Gong Li Yan was defeated and sought to submit to the Qing Dynasty. The Governor of Yunnan-Guizhou, Wu Dashan, heard that Gong Li Yan possessed a seven-treasure saddle and requested it from him. Gong Li Yan refused, and was subsequently expelled from the territory by Wu Dashan. Gong Li Yan led the remnants of his troops to seek refuge with the Menglian chieftain, Diao Paichun, but was captured by Diao Paichun and handed over to Wu Dashan, who later had him killed.
It can be understood that only in Buddhism does Shakyamuni hold a higher status than Brahma, while in Brahmanism and Hinduism, he can only be ranked after Brahma
Jia Yaxima! Xia Xiaowei seemed to be deep in thought, "This name sounds somewhat familiar, but I can't recall it at the moment. Wait a moment... I remember now!"
Leave this matter to me, and I guarantee it will be handled properly! Xia Xiaowei said, Let's act separately; you go buy the train tickets for tomorrow, and I will help you request a leave of absence.
How can so many things fit in a koala's head?" Xia Xiaowei turned Shen Mo's head and said, "Let me take a look.
Who
"Don't make a scene." He silently brushed aside Xia Xiaowei's hand, "There is one last one, Puyi."
Wu Shangxian was indeed a very special individual, and his biography can be found in the "Draft History of Qing." He was originally from Baoxiu in Shiping County and belonged to the Han ethnic group. Later, he wandered among the Ban Hong Wa ethnic tribe in Yongchang Prefecture, Yunnan. In the eighth year of the Qianlong reign, which corresponds to 1743, he established the Maolong Silver Factory in Myanmar. Within four years of its establishment, the number of mines increased to over 200, employing more than 30,000 miners. The annual silver production exceeded 100,000 taels, and he paid an annual tax of 11,000 taels to the Qing court. In 1752, Wu Shangxian accomplished a significant task for the Qing government—he persuaded the King of Myanmar, Maha Zha, to pay tribute to China, and the following year, he accompanied the king's envoy, bringing ten Ban Hong elephants to the capital for tribute. Later, the Governor-General of Yunnan and Guizhou, Shuo Se, learned that Wu Shangxian possessed a treasure—a bronze beast-shaped lotus scepter—and devised a scheme to lure him to the small town of Wanding on the border of Yunnan and Myanmar. When he could not obtain the treasure, Shuo Se fabricated charges and had Wu Shangxian arrested and imprisoned. Ultimately, Wu Shangxian met a tragic end in prison.
Is it her? The tone of Xia Xiaowei was somewhat strange
I know nothing about Jia Yaxima. I have not found any information either. Silence put down the teacup
What is the bronze beast-shaped lotus flower authority?
Shen Mo stared at Xia Xiaowei in astonishment
Xia Xiaowei cradled her chin in both hands
You need not inquire further about this; in any case, what I say is the truth
"Oh, it's nothing," Xia Xiaowei said, concealing her feelings. "Do you know her?"
Not a human, but a deity. Brahma is indeed the great Brahman, and its written form in Sanskrit is Brahm, which is transliterated as Brahma. He is the creator god in Brahmanism and Hinduism. According to the Manusmriti, Brahma emerged from the 'golden womb', also known as the 'Brahman egg'. Brahma split the Brahman egg into two, creating heaven and earth. This is somewhat similar to the Chinese figure Pangu. The 'Lord of Creation' he created brought forth all things in the world, while also creating demons and disasters.
They were once lovers
Silently gazing up at the ceiling
Then we should go find her, as she is the only one who can help us
