Chapter 9: Intensive Review (3)

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

He unclenched his fist, but the force did not dissipate as quickly as he had imagined; instead, it swelled to a point of discomfort.

Ding Ke felt as if a dense net had emerged within his body, with the airflow stimulating his nerves, banishing the fatigue he had previously experienced

One to one hundred? I don't even know which bastard is running the show, losing everything, you bastard

Forget him! Try other magic

After speaking, he found it amusing himself, thinking: When did I become so narcissistic? However, in his heart, he had already decided to write down the remaining magic and give it another try

Perhaps due to the cold weather, he did not encounter any couples on secret dates along the way. Thus, he jogged along and soon arrived at the lakeside

It is truly a fire-starting technique

At the beginning, there was a lengthy section titled "A Note to the Readers," resembling a magician's incantation, which Dink chose to skip.

Ding Ke looked at his right hand with suspicion. Suddenly, he was startled to see a small flame burning on it

Using magic carelessly in the absence of magical power within the body may lead to various adverse consequences. At best, it can result in exhaustion of energy; at worst, it can cause mental confusion, lead to idiocy, or even result in death. Remember!

Could it be that... a strange thought crossed his mind: the two air masses within his body had formed a magic circle

In the depths of hell, the flames of anger burn fiercely. In the name of the ancient covenant, by my name, I summon you to come forth and become my demon sword, to sever the heads of those before me

Perhaps it will dissipate after a while, he comforted himself

He blew once, but it did not extinguish

He did not lose heart, quickening his speech, while the gestures of his hands also accelerated

What is going on? The incantation has not been recited, and the hand gestures have not been coordinated either? This has left Dink, the young man who is new to magic, quite bewildered

Dingke is determined to diligently practice the two offensive spells of Fireball and Fire Rope, in order to seize the opportunity for victory in actual combat. He aims to make those arrogant individuals from the Mage department experience the taste of failure

Dingke did not feel disappointed because of this. On the contrary, he honestly verified all nine basic spells he remembered, and found that second-level magic was completely unusable, but first-level spells such as Ignition, Fireball, and Fire Rope were easily within his grasp. Compared to those wizards who required long incantations, he undoubtedly held an absolute advantage

In the depths of hell, the flames of anger burn fiercely. In the name of the ancient covenant, by my name, I summon you to come forth and become my demon sword, to sever the heads of those before me

At last, he gave up

Yet he had no inclination even to recall, feeling only a sense of confusion in his mind, which left his entire body somewhat weakened

Seeing Dink walk away, Milena quickly picked up the book "Elementary Magic" and eagerly began to flip through it. However, she only looked at the first page before putting it down, murmuring to herself: "Mental disorder? Become an idiot? Die? Or forget it..."

There is a fire

As the incantation swept through his mind, a spark miraculously ignited at the tip of his index finger. This time, he grasped that sensation; it was a surge of power emanating from the dark red energy within his body, which had summoned the fire element

Perhaps it is for the purpose of professional title assessment! Ding Ke caught a glimpse of Miss Milena's side where a book titled "The Qualities of a Combat System Teacher" was placed.

Wow, it's really cool! He suddenly pulled his hand out and, aided by the dim moonlight, checked to see if there were any signs of burns.

When Dink stepped out of the library, the moon had already risen high in the sky. The clouds hung low, and a cold wind was howling. As far as the weather was concerned, there was no need to worry about rain or anything of the sort

Perhaps it is due to its advanced nature that the assistance of incantations and gestures is required for its release

Just as he casually waved his hand and prepared to stand up, a burst of crimson light shot out, "Boom!" A laurel tree above him seemed to be struck by lightning, crashing down with a loud noise and emitting a puff of blue smoke

However, unlike Juliet who invoked magic, he was certain that he had not used any special tools; those two rotating objects became the only explanation.

The manipulation of magical energy through combat techniques is not unfamiliar. He had just experienced it once on hetushu.com.

Whenever he felt joyful, he would throw a fireball or a strand of fire from his hand, and the calm surface of the lake would immediately emit a few sounds of moaning.

It feels somewhat strange! The mass of energy that was causing him discomfort in his hand seemed to dissipate rapidly as he channeled his magical power

Ding Ke suppressed the excitement within his heart and began to channel the Fireball spell. As before, the moment the incantation appeared in his mind, the crimson energy mass in his lower abdomen trembled slightly, and he felt a wave of heat in his hand. With a flick of his wrist, a fireball the size of a fist was released, shooting towards the surface of the lake

Suppressing his excited emotions, Ding Ke continued his reading. Time passed quickly, and after digesting two books on general knowledge, Ding Ke finally opened the book "Elementary Magic"

When Dink insisted on finishing the last spell of fire magic, "Hellfire," he felt an intense pressure in his head. This was a situation he had never encountered while reading; he could only attribute it to the overly convoluted nature of these magical incantations. Fortunately, he had an exceptionally strong memory and had committed the spells he had read to memory.

Originally, the "Foreword to the Reader" states in the first sentence:

Is this the Firestarter technique? Clearly not! I have yet to hear of such a non-offensive fire magic possessing such power

Water! He quickly plunged his entire hand into the lake, making a splashing sound.

O great God of Flames, in response to the ancient covenant, heed my prayer and grant me the passionate spirit of fire, igniting the flame of hope!" Ding Ke invoked his spiritual power as instructed in the book, continuously altering his hand seals, yet there was no response.

Miss Milena was still at the front desk, which struck Dink as somewhat odd. Normally, this beautiful teacher, who went to great lengths to maintain her appearance, would have casually found a suitor to take her shift, while she herself would have gone home early to sleep.

This theory undoubtedly opened a great door for Dink. He believes that all techniques and tricks serve to better showcase power. As long as there is a strong mental force as a backing, even basic magic or fighting spirit can unleash terrifying strength

Isn't it said that releasing magical power is very exhausting? Dink shrugged and muttered to himself, "For a genius, nothing is impossible! Perhaps other magic can be easily mastered as well!"

The manifestation of fighting spirit

When he attempted to stop, two air masses seemed to awaken, rotating in opposite directions. The force appeared to be expelled, with these escaping energies swiftly dispersing into the previously opened channels, racing through his body.

He did not return to the dormitory, but headed straight to the forest by the lake in the back mountain. He planned to practice his blood fighting energy; if he could manifest his fighting energy like before, he would not fear any magician!

After completing the relevant procedures as required, Ding Ke greeted her briefly before leaving in a hurry

Try that Hellfire again! This is the most difficult one among the second-level fire magic.

He sat down in the same old place and began to stimulate his body's potential according to the breathing method of blood combat. He tried to bypass the strange mass of energy above his lower abdomen, but found it utterly impossible. The mass, which was originally white, had subtly transformed into a shade of red, tightly pressed against the dark red mass below it. The area where they connected seemed to form a transitional zone, displaying a deep crimson hue.

Then, a surge of powerful energy flowed towards his arm, reminiscent of the punch he threw that morning

He swung out towards the lake, but the force halted at his fist. He tried several more times in succession, yet there was still no response. He finally gave up, feeling that the earlier incident that morning was entirely a fluke

He chanted while quickly changing his hand gestures, but unfortunately, nothing happened. He tried several more times, yet the result was still a failure

He looked at the magical timer on the wall and realized that it was already quite late at night. He decided to call it a day, leaving the books at the front desk for easier access next time

Taking advantage of this moment, he wanted to try out the fire spell he had just learned. The first one was the Fire Ignition Spell, which is the most basic of fire magic, yet serves as a great aid in outdoor survival

Bang! Water splashed everywhere, and Ding Ke quickly dodged; otherwise, he would have ended up soaked.

Unfortunately, this time it was not effective; the incantation flashed through his mind, yet there was no response from his hands
