Chapter 9: Two Orcs
It was the voice of a woman; that orc woman had awakened! Hua Tianxing felt a surge of joy in his heart—right, the two of them had not eaten yet. He picked a dozen wild fruits and held them in his arms, then turned to walk towards the two orcs.
Language barrier
Seeing the two orcs staring at him in a daze, Hua Tianxing forced a smile, took a wild fruit in one hand, and without further ado, handed it to the orc woman and the bull-headed orc, saying: "Here, eat, take it and eat—"
The minotaur not only possesses an extraordinarily strong physique, but his regenerative abilities also seem to surpass those of ordinary individuals. In just over an hour, he has already managed to sit up and lean against a tree to speak. The orc woman squats beside him, engaging in a low conversation, while her black-and-white, fluffy long tail sways gently back and forth. Occasionally, it curiously turns to look at Hua Tianxing, who is approaching with wild fruits in hand.
Hua Tian walked over to the two of them, grinned widely, and gently placed the pile of wild fruits on the grass. "I completely don't understand what you are talking about, and you don't understand what I say either... Sigh, this is really frustrating! Come, eat, eat." While gesturing for them to eat with his hands and feet, he muttered to himself.
Just as he was looking around and contemplating his strategy, a faint and weak moan suddenly came from behind him
The voice was indeed gentle and soft, yet not a single word could be understood. The face of this orc woman was exceptionally beautiful, with delicate features, a petite and curvaceous figure, and complemented by a long tail that swayed enticingly behind her, causing Hua Tianxing to feel a stir of romantic feelings.
He sat on the ground, panting for a long time, before his emotions gradually calmed down—this unpredictable and perilous primeval jungle was undoubtedly the most terrifying he had ever encountered! It was like a graveyard, filled with terrifying creatures born solely for slaughter and carrion.
Those strange insects seem unwilling to crawl out of the sandy area. It is unclear whether they have some reservations or if they cannot survive away from the sand. With so many eyes on their ugly heads, Hua Tianxing does not believe that these strange insects cannot see the three people who are so close at hand
He picked a pear the size of a *picture* book, a red wild fruit steaming from being roasted, and took a big bite with a "crunch." Good grief! It was sour and unpleasant!
Before approaching the two orcs, the sharp-eared Hua Tianxing heard their conversation and couldn't help but smile wryly, shaking his head—indeed, the orc woman was speaking in "bird language"...
The more than ten corpses were clearly insufficient for these monstrous insects, and soon, the sandy ground returned to its previous silence. As far as the eye could see, there was a vast expanse of gray-brown desolate sand, with no signs of life whatsoever
As the sky gradually darkened, he hurriedly got up to check the injuries of the two orcs. The orc woman was unharmed, but there were no signs of her waking up, as if she had fallen into a deep slumber. The bull-headed orc, however, had already regained consciousness and was groaning softly. He had two new injuries: one was a deep gash on his left calf, inflicted by the vicious monster's bite, and the other was his right wrist, which seemed to be sprained and had swollen significantly. This was likely due to being thrown by Hua Tianxing and crashing onto the ground.

Looking at the creature before him, which stood as tall as a three-story building, with each of its pitch-black eyes the size of a grinding disc, and its body far exceeding that of the previously encountered spiked-tailed land dragon, Hua Tianxing stood there in shock, his mouth agape wide enough to fit five eggs, and after a long moment of stunned silence, he suddenly blurted out, "Mary next door," before collapsing onto the ground.
Soon, a roaring bonfire was lit. Hua Tianxing found a pile of red wild fruits, some of which were peeled, while others were being roasted. In the fiery red forest area, animals were extremely rare; even if there were any, they were mostly colorful and grotesque reptiles. He could easily distinguish between toxic and non-toxic wild fruits, but he did not dare to experiment with animals. His rich experience in wilderness survival told him that the toxicity of animals is usually much more potent than that of plants
It is certainly not feasible to cross this stretch of sandy land directly; a detour is necessary! Even at a distance of four to five miles, without the two orcs beside him, Hua Tianxing would not have the confidence to make it through. Just the thought of that nightmarish giant insect sends chills down his spine—on the right, the expanse stretches far into the distance, with no end in sight, making it impossible to proceed. Therefore, the only option left is to go to the left! Although the left side is shrouded in mist, and the situation is unclear, it is still far better than returning the way he came or changing direction altogether.
The ogre took the wild fruit, grinning broadly at him with a simple-hearted smile, and obediently lowered his head to start gnawing on it. However, the orc woman suddenly grabbed his outstretched hand, looking up at him with her big, blinking eyes, her expression somewhat anxious as she softly spoke to him about something.
Forget it! I never expected this orc woman to communicate with me verbally; if she could speak Chinese, that would truly be strange!
At that moment, he realized a serious problem—he did not understand the language of this other world at all
There was no other choice; he could only make do for one night. He helplessly forced himself to eat the sour and astringent fruit. Looking at the pile of fruits beside him, he felt a twinge of regret—had he known earlier, he should have cut some meat from that spiny-tailed dragon to keep for later. Although it was foul-smelling and unpleasant, at least it was meat... Hua Tianxing was a typical carnivore; vegetarian dishes were the least to his liking.
Suddenly, a giant monstrous worm, as large as a small mountain, crawled out of the sand, slowly and clumsily making its way toward the wooden box. The surrounding smaller monsters and books immediately cleared a path, daring not to approach the wooden box any closer
Hua Tianxing is most skilled in treating joint fractures. He helped the Tauren correct the position of the carpal bones, simply bandaging the wounds on the abdomen, left rib, and left calf. He then quietly asked, "Big guy, are you an orc? Do you know where this is?"
Hua Tianxing felt a hint of bitterness in his mouth and shook his head in frustration. He looked up at the sky, then carried the orc woman over to the minotaur and gently patted his head with a friendly expression, saying in a deep voice: "Big guy, take good care of her. I will go find some food, and let’s make do with spending the night here by the edge of the red forest." After saying this, he walked off into the fiery red woods. In truth, he knew that the minotaur could not understand his words, but he hoped that his gentle tone and demeanor would convey his friendliness and goodwill—given the dire situation, what he needed was an ally, not an enemy or a bystander.
The minotaur stared at him unblinkingly, slowly uttering a series of deep and obscure characters. Hua Tianxing suddenly froze—he simply could not understand!
