Stellar Geography · Composition of Territories of Interstellar Nations

This refers to the outer space within a certain range directly under the jurisdiction of a country. In this portion of outer space, the country can exercise certain rights of control and inspection over customs, finance, immigration, health, and other matters, but the country does not enjoy sovereignty over this space. In other words, its function is to serve as a buffer contact zone

3. Adjacent Cosmic Domains

2. Directly subordinate cosmic domain

1. The term "leading star" primarily refers to the celestial bodies belonging to the country, which are categorized into three types

3. As the term "colony" implies, there is no need for further elaboration

2. Resource Planet

1. Habitable Planet

Due to the preciousness of habitable planets, countries often prioritize their protection, striving to maintain the natural attributes of their ecological environment. Unless a country is in extreme distress, it will establish resource planets outside of habitable ones to conduct industrial production, mineral extraction, energy collection, and other activities that pose significant environmental hazards and are likely to cause pollution, all of which are essential for the functioning of the nation. Many countries have even relocated agriculture away from habitable planets.

The territorial composition of interstellar nations in the world of the starry sky is generally divided into three types: sovereign stars, sovereign regions, and colonies

2. The term "space territory" primarily refers to the portion of outer space owned by a country, which is divided into three categories

3. Exclusive Planet

Including all outer space within the national territory, for instance, if humans from Earth were to venture beyond the solar system and establish human territory outside of it, then, apart from the celestial bodies and their atmospheric layers, the outer space within the solar system would belong to the inner universe. This area is sacred and inviolable, and entry is prohibited without the permission of the respective country

This type of territorial star may not have any specific function, but it is part of a galaxy that the country fully owns, naturally belonging to the country's territorial stars

If various star systems (similar to planetary systems like the solar system) were to unite as one, governed by a single nation, then the cosmic regions between these star systems would naturally belong to that nation, and the certain cosmic regions that the unified whole of these star systems extends into would also belong to that nation

This is the primary territory, and the citizens are the foundation of the nation. The land, governance, military, history, and so forth are all created by the citizens. Therefore, the place where the citizens rely on for survival is also the fundamental ground of the interstellar nation. Habitable planets suitable for the citizens to reside in are the most valuable resources and are also an indispensable part of the territory of the interstellar nation

1. Inner Universe.

The establishment of such planets is generally based on the principle of proximity to habitable planets, as they concentrate the most significant industries, energy, and even food sectors of the planetary system where the habitable planet is located. However, there are also many resource planets established due to the special minerals or energy found on them, which may be located far from habitable planets
