Astronomical Geography · Basic systems such as language, script, and calendar
At the very least, I harbor an immense hatred for those who engage in reverse nationalism, who think about complete Westernization all day long, who fanatically oppose everything related to the Chinese civilization, and who seek to nullify the Han ethnicity. As I have said before, a nation that has been able to inherit a civilization spanning five thousand years and has long occupied the pinnacle of the world, with its brilliant civilization, is not something that you, who have forsaken your roots and forgotten your ancestors, are qualified to slander and defame
But in reality? Is Chinese civilization really inferior? Can five thousand years of cultural heritage be compared to a mere few hundred years of Western upstarts? Are we truly inferior to them, or are we merely looking down on ourselves?
However, the unified system of this unified era will inevitably not be able to completely eliminate dissent as the ancient practice of a common script and common standards did. Therefore, when division occurs again, the system of the unified era will become a universal system for humanity, while at the same time, there will also exist unique languages, scripts, calendars, and other systems of various countries and ethnic groups, which is to say, a dual system.
PS: Writing this setting reminded me of countries in the original Han character circle, such as South Korea, that have undergone a process of de-Sinicization. Now that China has developed, they find themselves in an awkward position, as their culture, writing, and so forth were originally based on Han civilization and Chinese characters. In the end, their attempts to de-Sinicize have undermined their own cultural foundations, leading to a cultural crisis.
The starry world is a human realm that has experienced an era of unification. Breaking away from the home planet and literature, the early colonization of the universe could not be accomplished by a single nation or ethnicity, but required a unified human government. Although the expansion of territory may lead to a loss of governance, resulting in a new round of division and reorganization, humanity that has gone through the era of unification inevitably possesses relatively unified systems of language, script, and calendar.
Certainly, there are some stubborn, or rather conservative, and even foolish countries and nations that will implement a system of de-unification in the era. However, this will never be the mainstream, as it would inevitably complicate exchanges between countries and nations. Especially when the majority of countries and nations benefit from the legacy of the era of unification, such behavior is utterly foolish
Moreover, while writing this setting, I sincerely hope that Chinese characters and the Chinese language can ultimately become the unified script and language for humanity as we step into the universe, rather than the damned English. I wish for the revival of Chinese civilization to occupy a mainstream position in the world. This is not a narrow nationalism or great power chauvinism, but rather the interests of the Huaxia people. The power of culture and the interests within it are immeasurable for civilizations, nations, and ethnic groups with cultural strength. If you do not believe this, you can observe how the strong influence of American culture has brought immense benefits to the United States.
Therefore, essentially understanding a universal language and script, communication with educated individuals from other celestial nations is not an issue
Hollywood attracts wealth, the American Dream attracts talent, the aesthetic standards of white people grant them sexual hegemony, and the fashion trends of Westerners allow a few thin pieces of fabric to create what is deemed fashion, thus earning substantial wealth from around the world
