Immortal Gourd

The story takes place in a remote town—Baishi Town. The mischievous children in the town are throwing stones and tiles at a scruffy Taoist who is passing by, while the passerby remains indifferent. Only a boy named Jiao Fei, with a sallow face, perceives the extraordinary nature of the Taoist. Since childhood, Jiao Fei has loved reading miscellaneous books and has long yearned for the immortals who can fly and traverse the heavens. Without any hesitation, he runs to seek apprenticeship. With his innate intelligence and steadfast determination, he quickly enters the realm of cultivation. However, fate plays tricks on him, and soon Jiao Fei becomes separated from his master. Relying partly on chance and partly on cunning, Jiao Fei feigns an identity to join a major Taoist sect. Here, he must diligently cultivate in an environment where no one guides him and where he faces disdain from others, all while deliberately concealing his true identity, which is indeed arduous.

Subsequently, Jiao Fei achieved a minor level of cultivation and set out to travel the seas, encountering all sorts of bizarre and thrilling stories. He made few friends but gained numerous enemies, yet he also reaped many unexpected benefits. Jiao Fei's aspiration was to diligently cultivate in hopes of attaining immortality. He was neither a handsome man with a harem nor a prodigious genius who could master various techniques with a mere glance, nor was he a formidable individual who could level up infinitely just by breathing while remaining stationary.
