Lant's father was brutally murdered for defying the imperial dictator known as the "Führer." Lant embarked on a long journey of vengeance for his father. He encountered the noble and extraordinarily beautiful witch kingdom, the "Witch," and learned that both the "Führer" and the "Witch" originated from the "Ruins," the last remnant of a distant civilization. Before the witch was conspired against and killed by the great swordsman, she revealed to Lant that only by finding the Ruins could he discover a way to breach the armor of the Führer. In pursuit of the Führer, Lant ultimately distanced himself from the witch kingdom and the "Pure Land" of the empire, a once beautiful and peaceful realm now ravaged by the invasion of the Black Fork people. Lant's repeated confrontations with the Black Forks demonstrated that he was indeed the holy sword knight prophesied to rescue the Pure Land 500 years ago. Lant discovered that the true mastermind behind the Black Forks' invasion of the Pure Land was the Witch Emperor.
