Chapter 6, Tyrannosaurus Rex (Part 1)

Dark Small Medium Large Original Scroll to Bottom

This information pertains to oracle bone script. Oracle bone script is unique to the Pangu tribe, which has a peculiar profession known as the shaman, whose status is equivalent to that of a three-clawed Tyrannosaurus in the Tyrannosaurus tribe, making them a higher authority within the tribe. Before each large-scale hunting expedition, the Pangu tribe consults the heavens for omens of good or ill fortune. The shamans are responsible for hunting the yuanlong (a creature similar to a giant turtle) found in the sea or swamps, removing its shell, and roasting it in a fire ignited by lightning. They then seek divine messages from the cracks that form in the burnt shell. Over time, the shamans learned to interpret each crack as representing a layer of meaning. Consequently, they developed a method of recording significant events and other important knowledge within the tribe using these distorted patterns. This method of recording is referred to by the Pangu as oracle bone script, with the shells used for recording called oracle bones, and the distorted engravings referred to as oracle bone characters.

Three-Claw Dragon Clan, Golden Bone Dragon

Kong San's excitement had just begun to rise when it suddenly realized that the Tyrannosaurus King was no longer present, and the Holy Mountain had collapsed. In an instant, this excitement transformed into sorrow and loss. With the Tyrannosaurus King gone and the Holy Mountain fallen, what did it matter if it became a three-clawed Tyrannosaurus? Without the Tyrannosaurus King, under the threat of the powerful Pangu clan, those scattered remnants of golden bone dragons might very well be its final resting place

The world outside the pit is in chaos, yet Kong San inside the pit remains oblivious to it all. The three strange currents of heat within its body seem to ignite the blood coursing through it, causing the blood to boil and the blood vessels to expand. On its rough skin, raised lines crisscross, appearing exceptionally fierce.

The uncontrollable surge of blood throughout his body made Kong San feel an unbearable itch all over. He struggled to press his body against the sharp edges of the rocky wall in the pit, rubbing vigorously until his blood vessels burst, and the boiling blood within him found an outlet. Only after it gushed out did he feel somewhat relieved

This obscure information left Kong San feeling dizzy. In a state of confusion, it discovered that it had entered a wondrous condition, where its sharp gaze could no longer perceive the external environment. What its "sight" beheld was, in fact, the interior of its own body: a wrinkled brain, a vigorously beating heart, gently undulating intestines, circulating blood, and golden-yellow bones

As time passed, Kong San finally reaped the rewards of his suffering. The war within his veins had come to an end, with the viscous blood decisively defeating the remnants of blood within him and merging with it. As this new blood flowed, Kong San felt a warm sensation throughout his body, as if gentle, warm currents were overflowing from his blood vessels, permeating through his muscles and softly massaging his bones. Not a single bone was left untouched, and this deep, marrow-penetrating pleasure made Kong San moan in comfort. Not a single bone was left untouched, and this deep, marrow-penetrating pleasure made Kong San moan in comfort.

Kong San found it somewhat strange; after the lava, not a blade of grass grew, and many towering trees had vanished without a trace. How did this small fruit tree manage to survive? His gaze inadvertently swept over the tortoise shell beneath the small tree. Upon closer inspection, he discovered that this tortoise shell was quite unusual, unlike ordinary tortoise dragon remains. It not only bore signs of being scorched by fire, but there also seemed to be many twisted engravings in the cracks, densely packed. Even with Kong San's keen eyesight, he could not discern each individual engraving.

Kong San's heart began to beat uncontrollably. As an ordinary Tyrannosaurus rex, it had always dreamed of growing three toes, thus gaining the privilege to fight alongside the Bone Dragon and the Tyrant King, who had perished on the Sacred Mountain. Unexpectedly, this extravagant wish was realized in such a bizarre manner, how could it not be extraordinarily excited?

Thick blood flowed along the surface of the body into the blood vessels, moving through the veins into the heart. After a brief pause in the heart, it then traveled through the arteries to the limbs and head, only to slightly rest after completing a full cycle of blood circulation. However, Kong San's suffering was far from over. Once the thick blood settled within its body, the residual blood in its vessels became restless, engaging in a fierce territorial battle with the foreign blood, plunging Kong San into a new round of agony. Fortunately, by this time, it had become somewhat numb. Yet, Kong San's suffering was still far from over. After the thick blood lingered in its body, the residual blood in its vessels again became restless, waging a brutal territorial war with the foreign blood, leading Kong San into yet another cycle of pain, though it was somewhat numb at this point.

Kong San suddenly realized that his vision had improved significantly compared to before; he could see every piece of dark sand on the distant peaks clearly, and even the faint patterns on a piece of sand on the faraway mountain were distinctly visible

It is unknown how long the three bearded men had been striking away with their clanging sounds before they finally ceased, satisfied. Kong San, whose bones felt like they were turning to mud, had just managed to escape the agony in his head when a wave of excruciating pain surged through his body. A thick, viscous blood began to flow back into him from the pool, coursing through his ruptured blood vessels and entering his heart via the veins. This sensation was, compared to before, like ice and fire; Kong San struggled to open his mouth to howl at the sky, only to find that his mouth was already submerged in blood, with only his two nostrils gasping heavily above the surface. He wanted to roll and vent his pain, even to smash his head against the rocks to end it all, but his recently awakened mind recalled the existence of the dragon egg... He could only endure the humiliation and bear the burden.

Kong San eagerly turned his body to scan the surroundings through the blood mist, only to find that the overwhelming lava had long since vanished. The bodies of the Pangu had also disappeared, and the deep pits they had created were filled in, leaving only a thick layer of charred earth. Gazing into the distance, the mountains appeared barren, and the valleys were equally desolate, with no traces of life within sight. The entire world had fallen into a profound silence, so quiet that Kong San felt somewhat at a loss.

The red light converged and disappeared into Kong San, who then awakened. Upon opening its eyes, it noticed that the light in the pit had brightened. For some unknown reason, the blood in the pool had significantly decreased, but fortunately, the dragon egg was still floating intact. With a sense of relief, Kong San turned its gaze to the surroundings. Looking up, it surprisingly discovered the presence of the sun through the blood veil. Although it was merely a faint outline, it was undeniably real. Fortunately, the dragon egg was still floating intact. With a sense of relief, Kong San turned its gaze to the surroundings. It is unclear how much time has passed, but the brilliance of the blood-red aura gradually dimmed and slowly converged inward, revealing Kong San's figure, a robust body as if newly born. Compared to Kong San's original body, this new form appeared significantly stronger, with every inch of skin brimming with explosive power. Moreover, Kong San's rough skin, which had been weathered by years of hunting and exposure to the elements, had become smooth and glossy, full of elasticity. Most remarkably, Kong San's previously weak forelimbs not only grew much sturdier, but his forepaws also transformed from two toes to three toes. However, the strange airflow within Kong San did not cease its movement due to its deep slumber; instead, it spread even more violently. The airflow penetrated inward to the marrow and outward through the skin, erupting in a dazzling red glow that completely enveloped Kong San's bones, meridians, muscles, blood vessels, and skin, forming a blood-red gas mass resembling a silkworm cocoon, quietly suspended in the blood pool

Kong San suddenly noticed his heart contracting sharply; this ability to perceive his own interior was more akin to a form of consciousness. Wherever this 'gaze' focused, the sensations in that area became exceptionally vivid. When his 'gaze' shifted once more to the golden-yellow bones, his heart trembled again, and the reason was simple: Kong San saw the three dragon claws at the ends of his forelimb bones.

What?

From hell straight to heaven, Kong San felt a sudden lightness throughout his body, and an overwhelming sense of extreme fatigue surged into his heart, causing him to fall into a deep sleep, his snoring like thunder, rippling a pool of blood.

The Pangu tribe is immensely powerful, and Kong San knows a bit about it. The twelve resurrected Pangu delivered a striking lesson with their fists. In the face of these formidable beings, although Kong San never lacks the courage to fight to the death, how much chance does he really have? He has no confidence at all in his heart

Kong San suddenly thought of a question: those resurrected Pangu are so powerful, then what force did the three-clawed Tyrannosaurus rely on to kill them in the previous battle beyond the heavens

A fresh term suddenly sprang to Kong San's mind, followed by a sensation of his entire body trembling with blood flow, as a piece of information he had never encountered before entered his consciousness

Before Kong San could comprehend the reason behind the sudden enhancement of his vision, he inadvertently discovered a surviving small tree in the shadow of an inconspicuous hill in the distance. The solitary little tree leaned against a protruding rock, its tender trunk emerging from a tortoise shell wedged in the crevice of the rock. Although the branches and leaves of the small tree had begun to wither, it still stood resiliently against the wind, and even a few fruits had sprouted on its slender branches. If one cannot resist pain, then one should savor it. Kong San suddenly felt that his mind seemed to have become much more agile, even generating such strange thoughts, which had never occurred before. In the past, he would only focus on one point and pursue it with single-minded determination.

Magma is fluid; it cannot break through the blood curtain to enter the pit, but it flows over the circular gas shield formed by the blood curtain, obscuring the world within the pit. However, magma is not infinite; when it ceases to flow, it can no longer remain above the blood curtain for even a moment, and sunlight once again shines into the pit

The itching of the body has temporarily subsided, but the significant loss of blood has left Kong San utterly drained of strength, feeling overwhelmingly fatigued, almost unable to open his eyelids. At this moment, the throbbing pain in his head has become increasingly pronounced; he can distinctly feel three scorching streams of heat surging tumultuously within his skull. In a daze, it seems as if he sees three bearded Pangu returning, each wielding a massive stone hammer, cursing loudly as they vigorously strike his head, causing his brain matter to splatter... Meanwhile, the throbbing pain in his head intensifies, and he can clearly sense the three searing currents of heat tumultuously churning within his mind. In a haze, it appears as though he sees the three bearded Pangu returning once more, each brandishing a gigantic stone hammer, cursing in pain as they relentlessly pound on his head, causing his brain matter to splatter...

Although they were extremely far apart, Kong San's formidable eyesight still allowed him to see the full appearance of the fruit. The fruit on this small tree had an extraordinarily peculiar shape, resembling Pangu sitting cross-legged, complete with limbs and facial features, vividly lifelike
